About...

JANEANNE HALTER is a New York City-based actor and performance artist.  She received her BA in Visual Arts from Fordham University and is currently attending the MFA Acting Program at The Actors Studio Drama School. She has over 10 years experience in improvisational movement and classical ballet training. She has worked with and under Broadway performer Maria Christina-Oliveras, renowned solo-performer Daniel Alexander Jones, international movement specialist Alexandra Dimani, clowning expert David Frank, as well as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Her favorite roles include:  Nora in A Doll House and Claire in Out Cry, both at the Actors Studio Drama School. She has written and performed in her own one-woman-shows throughout New York City, most recently performing at Judson Church. Her interdisciplinary performances explore the relationship between the mind and body, using her classical ballet training and painting as primary tools of expression.
